Dear Guests,
we are Sarah and Youssef with little Luna & our guardian Pacha (RIP our beloved Labrador Dizzy) – a swiss-moroccan-spanish family living a life between western structure and moroccan craziness. After spending some years together in Morocco, two years ago we felt in love with this house in the quiet back of Tamraght and we decided to make this special place ready for welcoming guests.
As Corona makes travelling a bit difficult since some months we decided to launch our onlineshop www.maisondarna.com – to make you your very own oriental home possible. We are providing you beautiful handicrafts as Kelim cushions, 100% cotton blankets or stunning poufs, but also the best spices from the Moroccan kitchen and the most nourishing Argan Oil. Like this you can get the feeling of 1001 nights also in your home. In the same time we can give work to locals who are desperately in need – as tourism is kind of blocked since March 2020.
We are very passionate about an artistic, sporty, sharing and sustainable lifestyle. We don’t perceive Maison Darna Guesthouse just as “our” house. We also want to make it to yours. „Darna“ means „at home“ – feel at home in an oriental environment.
For us it is important to give back something to this beautiful place: That’s why we are running the charity „Support-Flow to Morocco“ to help animals and people in need.
The camel with eyes in shape of a heart is our symbol as we truly belief in peace and the balancing power of the universe. We cannot wait to share these moments with you.

Our idea
Our intention is to create a peaceful, relaxed atmosphere – where you can connect to yourself and at the same time, if you want, dive into Moroccan culture and enjoy the community, which is characterized by sustainability, joy for music, food, sharing & caring and culture. We are not a surf camp, but a place where you can feel home in Morocco – a country where time ticks a bit differently.
Our Mission
On the one hand our intention is to create a warm surrounding where you can step out of the western “hamster wheel” and start to take things as they are, take yourself as you are. On the other hand we would like to give an impact to the village and help beings around us.
Sarah’s charity „Support-Flow to Morocco“ has mainly two missions:
- is collecting things (winterclothes, schoolmaterial, toys), which are not needed anymore in the western world, but can help in poor Moroccan mountain regions. Also during Corona crisis we started to support families in need with food as they could not work for many weeks during lockdown. Most of the locals live from their salary paid by day. So the crisis was hitting them very hard. You can DONATE , or you can help us to finance the transports or you can shop in our onlineshop (parts of every sale are towards the charity) and help.
- is taking care of straycats around our house: Many were sick, when we moved to this place. We started to vaccinate and sterilize mum & babies to keep the population healthy and stable. This project is only possible with your financial help. Help us to keep on taking care of the cats.
